To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download life changing Never in my life have I slept well. Flipped, flopped, tossed. It was war in my bed. There were weeks where I slept only 20 hours. Always tired, but in good health. Could fall asleep anywhere. Almost crashed several times. Just chalked it up to stress, overwork, and “not being able to turn it off.” In my 40’s developed depression. Irritable, curt, impatient. Lost interest in sex. I dreaded going to bed. It became a negative obsession. I knew something had to be going on and read an article about OSA. Also, I knew I had a deviated septum. After the Sleep Study everything made sense. Severe OSA and PLM (periodic limb movement). So, I had the triple wammy: OSA, a blocked nose and PLM. After 52 years, I am now sleeping sound. It is my little life miracle. This is the most significant health issue of my life and I am so exstatic it was found. I use a CPAP, Breathe Strips and take Mirapex for the leg movements. I now look forward to sleep. Please, don’t stay in denial as I did. If you’re not sleeping something is not right. It may be some temporary stress, but if the symptons continue it is likely something else. And don’t do the insurance/can’t afford the Sleep Study line. You will find relief and life-saving tools. Especially you men: don’t delay or be stubborn. Go have the test. And if you fight the CPAP, as I did at first, put it away for awhile and try it again. You will be ok with it. I now travel with mine. Sleep is just as important as diet and exercise. Good luck.
