I talk in my sleep

Since I was a child I have sleep walked and talked in my sleep. I am 33 yrs old now; I’ve been married for the last 10 years. My husband has told me that I talk in my sleep a lot. It’s usually gibberish, however sometimes it’s in actual words. I usually can hear myself talk in my sleep. I don’t usually realize I am sleeping when I’m doing this. Sometimes I ask questions in my sleep and I wait to hear an answer. If my dream doesn’t produce an answer then I will keep asking until my husband says something. I might stop my dream @ that time or I will continue my conversation.

My husband says sometimes I jab him with my elbow. I never remember doing that. He says I usually am sleeping in such a deep sleep that he can poke me or try to wake me up and it’s like I am in coma. I don’t remember that stuff either.

I am healthy. I don’t smoke nor do I drink. I take Zyrtec for my allergies sometimes.

I started a dream journal when I was a teenager. I usually always remember my dreams and I usually have 3-5 dreams a night. My dreams are usually very repetitive mixed with the last thing I saw on TV, things from work and school conversations. Honestly I don’t think it’s a problem and I would not consider ever taking medicine for it.

My husband thinks it’s so funny and says one day he’s going to record it. I wish he would bc I want to see it happen. I get more sleep then most people do. I sleep very heavy. I love to sleep. and I think talking in my sleep adds character. I wouldn’t change anything.
