He started out talking, shouting, cursing, kicking and waving his arms; then progressed to putting his hands on me as if pinning down an intruder, grabbing my leg and shouting about capturing a snake. He will sit up, shake his fists, shouting, making movements like he’s shooting a gun; he’ll slam his hand on the table, knock the lamp over, fall on the floor. Just this week when taking a nap, he woke up to find he had jumped out of bed on my side of the bed. He works for the railroad on freight trains to another city, and has been called by hotel management to quiet down after people in adjacent rooms complained about his shouting. He is taking Lexapro for depression and anxiety and takes Mirapex for restless leg syndrome, and takes trazadone for the acting out. I am so worried about the studies I’ve read about the development of Parkinsons Disease in almost 40% of patients with RBD. Can anyone relate to this? Comments
