Narcolepsy

The enemy in my life

Captures me by day

Enslaves me by night

It’s impossible to fight

The demon

That has me in its grasp

A gator, taking me down

To the bottom of a murky river

I can’t swim up; I can’t move.

Hypnogogic hallucinations–

Is it really there

Or is it just a dream?

I hear you calling me

Or are you just my dream?

Wake me up.
