my long nightmare

It all started when i was 15 and went to hospital with a bruised kidney and was there for four nights i didn’t sleep at all during my stay there that was when i first diagnosed with a sleeping condition. after the hospital saga my sleeping pattern changed and started to interfere with my school life, the school labeled me as lazy my mum blamed it on computer games and my doctor just seemed adament on trying to use me as a project for which tablets would knock me out quicker be it muscle relaxents and what i belived was sleeping tablets i think it was called temazipan. anyway the temazipan worked it knocked me out for an average of 6hrs a night but i could only have a 2 week course so it worked for as long as it could.

after the 2 week course i was able to sleep about 3-4 hrs a night before being woken up to goto school and that is how it has stayed for the last six years but now i’m 21 it’s starting to effect my career and my relationship. now my girlfriend wakes me up every morning it takes her 1 hr on average just to get a response so i thought i’d go to my doctor and see if i could do anything to remedey this situation, he laughed and said “thats life everyone has troubles waking up”.

well that blew my top i thought if something affected my life style and living that it would make it a problem. i then thought stuff it i’ll find my own solution the internet is helpful in some aspects i suppose. i found 2 options slef diagnose and try to find an option that’ll work. or the other would be to pay 1200 and goto the sleep clinic in london i am yet to make my decision.
