I always knew there was something wrong w/ my sleep habit, but until tonite I had no idea it had a name.
I am in the restaurant busines, so late nights are perfect for me.Only if I have to work in the morning couple of times a week I get miserable.

I have always had a problem falling asleep. At first I thought it was insomnia. After looking at info on the web about insomnia, I stumbled upon delayed sleep syndrome. Every night I get in the bed around 8:30 pm or 9:00 pm and lay there looking at the clock eventually falling asleep around 2:00.

Hi. For me this all started ar around age 13 or so. I am now 24. I have been called nightowl, lazy, and other things. To top it off alarm clocks don’t work people repeatedly calling doesn’t work and noone understands why I am like this. They just think I am lazy.

I’ve never been able to get to sleep before 2 or 3 am. When I was younger, my mom would always try to get me to go to sleep earlier, but whenever I tried, I’d just end up staring at the ceiling until it was around 2 or 3 am. I’ve learned that it’s just easier not to fight it.
