    I am 46 years old and have lived with dspd all of my life. I didn’t know it was a condition until my 19 year old son researched it. He has the same disorder and was tired of not being able to take early college classes and function like the rest of his friends.     I am a night owl and always have been. As an artist it is the most creative time for me and I have the most clarity and effectiveness.     I have just been diognosed with DELAYED SLEEP PHASE DISORDER and have to get myself into a “normal” pattern. as like other people with the same problem i cant get to sleep till well after 2am and dont wake up till at least 3pm the following day. this has cost me my job my friends and my social life.
