To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Night Owl in the Womb I’ve been a night owl since the womb. My mother claims I would keep her awake all night. Sunrise is often my signal to go to bed. I was lucky enough to always have jobs where I worked the late shift at least one day a week. Then I got a job teaching at the night school. My class ended about 10:50 –I was in 7th heaven. If I have to catch an early plane the only way I can make it is to not go to bed and sleep on the plane. Funny, when I used to come out here to AZ to visit, after I was here for a few days I’d flip and go to bed by 9 and be up with the sun. But since I’ve retired out here, instead of my previous midnight bedtime it has gravitated to 2 or 3 am ??? Well my eyes are finally beginning to droop, but it feels good to know that it has a name vs a “moral failing.” And the description fits me perfectly. And I’ve been dealing with it for 62 years. I’m going to send info to family & friends! The melatonin works a little, but often can make me awfully drowsy in the morning. But I’m going to get some B12 & folic acid and try leaving my drapes open. Comments
